Butler: no mistakes. Florida: all mistakes. No contest.

CONNECTICUT (white) VS ARIZONA (blue)
No blocks, no spooge. Useless side crap. UConn's numbers are too skinny.
WINNER: ARIZONA

KANSAS (white) VS VCU (black)
Both spooged. At least VCU has blocks.
WINNER: VCU

NORTH CAROLINA (white) VS KENTUCKY (blue)
Both blocks, no spooge. Only real flaw is that rectangle.

This Sweet 16 has left me bitter. Here it is anyway...

SAN DIEGO STATE (white) VS CONNECTICUT (blue)
SDSU has blocks and a tapered pant stripe, but it's not spooge. UConn has a bad non-block font.

FLORIDA (white) VS BYU (blue)
Both badly spooged. BYU's blocks beat Florida's fugly font. Say that 5 times fast!

DUKE (white) VS ARIZONA (blue)
No probs with Duke. Probs with Zona.

WISCONSIN (white) VS BUTLER (black)
Butler's basic black and blocks whip Wisconsin's wimpy white. I am an aliteration animal!

NORTH CAROLINA (white) VS MARQUETTE (yellow)
UNC has blocks and the light blue trim. Marquette has non-blocks and a stupid dashed line down the side, like Temple football but worse.
WINNER: NORTH CAROLINA

KANSAS (white) VS RICHMOND (red)
Both spooged. Spiders win on blocks.
WINNER: RICHMOND

OHIO STATE (white) VS KENTUCKY (blue)
Ouch. OSU lost. Should've worn grey and followed the Path. Anyhoo, both blocks, no spooge. I would give this to KY except for that clunky white rectangle on the shorts.

Both spooged. VCU wins on blocks.

MIAMI FL (white) MISSOURI STATE (maroon)
Miami has the same ugly numbers from football but no spooge. Miz St has blocks but they're black on maroon, and they have black spooge. At least I can read Miami's ugly numbers.

ALABAMA (white) VS NEW MEXICO (red)
No blocks. Bama is plain but no spooge. NM has Buckeye colors but a bad case of spooge.

WASHINGTON STATE (grey) VS OKLAHOMA STATE (orange)
OSU has a good orange but a bad font. WSU has blocks and Buckeye colors. The uni is grey, follow the Path. Only problem with WSU uni is that it stupidly says "COUGS".
WINNER: WASHINGTON STATE

COLORADO (grey) VS KENT STATE (blue)
Both blocks, Col's are italic. No spooge, but both have side crap. Kent still needs some shiny gold shorts. In a close call...the uni is grey, follow the Path.

WICHITA STATE (white) VS CHARLESTON (maroon)
Wichita has shadowed blocks and huge spooge. CoC has blocks and side crap.
WINNER: CHARLESTON

ALABAMA (white) VS MIAMI FL (black)
'Canes in black with their ugly orange numbers. Ick. Gotta go with boring 'Bama.

WASHINGTON STATE (white) VS NORTHWESTERN (purple)
Both blocks and good colors. NU a teensy bit spoogish on the side.

BOSTON COLLEGE (white) VS NORTHWESTERN (purple)
BC still with those ugly numbers. NU has blocks and decent colors, so I'll overlook the side crap.
WINNER: NORTHWESTERN

KENTUCKY (white) VS WEST VIRGINIA (black)
Both blocks, no spooge. WV actually looks good (other than dark blue numbers on black, but with the yellow outline, still readable). Go fig. KY's blocks a bit skinny.
WINNER: WEST VIRGINIA

FLORIDA (white) VS UCLA (blue)
No contest. Gators have everything wrong, Bruins have everything right.
WINNER: UCLA

RICHMOND (white) VS MOREHEAD STATE (blue)
Both very well-dressed. Edge to Morehead on colors (and of course the name).
WINNER: MOREHEAD STATE

SAN DIEGO STATE (white) VS TEMPLE (black)
Both looking clunky in this game. SDSU on blocks.

PITTSBURGH (white) VS BUTLER (black)
No spooge, both blocks, although Pitt's are shadowed. The Butler does it with a clean black and white uni. Hey, just like a butler! "Your basket-ball, sir."

BYU (white) VS GONZAGA (black)
Both repeat their looks from Thursday. And again, it comes down to "OO-GONZAGA OOGA OOGA OO-GONZAGA OOGA OOGA..."

WISCONSIN (white) VS KANSAS STATE (purple)
No blocks, bad fonts. KSU at least has purple. Badgers have spooge.
WINNER: KANSAS STATE

CONNECTICUT (white) VS CINCINNATI (black)
Both bad fonts. Cincy has their usual sickening spooge.
WINNER: CONNECTICUT

VIRGINIA TECH (white) VS WICHITA STATE (black)
Both blocks, Wichita has spooge.

NORTH CAROLINA (white) VS WASHINGTON (black)
No contest. UNC, with light blue blocks, has it together. Washington, dark purple numbers on black? In a shitty font? With spooge? An atrocity.

DUKE (white) VS MICHIGAN (yellow)
Both blocks, no spooge. I hate UM but they actually look nice, good thing they don't wear helmets! But against a solid Duke uni...not a chance.

Aw, is that spooge I see on GM? Ruins an otherwise good uni. Doesn't matter, because OSU is sporting their excellent "Geno" wardrobe.

ND has blocks. Both have spooge, but FSU's is far worse.

WEST VIRGINIA (white) VS CLEMSON (orange)
Both blocks. WV has some really bad Cincy-style spooge. Clem's got the nice orange and purple combo.

LOUISVILLE (white) VS MOREHEAD STATE (blue)
Both blocks. Lou is a tad spoogy. Morehead has pretty colors and no mistakes, plus how can you not LOVE their name?!
WINNER: MOREHEAD STATE

TEMPLE (white) VS PENN STATE (blue)
Owls have non-blocks and some spooge, but at least it's not dashes. PSU has some pretty dumb spooge, but wins on blocks.

KENTUCKY (white) VS PRINCETON (black)
No probs with KY. (I never have probs with KY!) Princeton has black spooge on black.
WINNER: KENTUCKY

VANDERBILT (white) VS RICHMOND (blue)
Vandy has circus numbers. Spiders have a solid uni. My Spidey sense is tingling!

Both blocks. SDSU's pant stripe just a tad spoogy.

Both suck. FL has a hideous font and very bad spooge. SB has an ugly font and squares down the side. Lesser of two eyesores.

Ick. Both blocks, both bad spooge. But Wofford's spooge may be the worst of all. They have a droopy-drawer look. Who designed them, Philip from Survivor? No, if he did they'd be fuchsia!

UConn has a bad font. Bucknell has a bad font, bad spooge, and that stupid half-a-belt shit.

UCLA (white) VS MICHIGAN STATE (green)
Bruins uni is flawless. MSU has the same stupid numbers as their football team.

ST JOHN'S (white) VS GONZAGA (black)
St John's has a clumsy logo and non-blocks. Zags have blocks and a weird arrow pointing down the side. I'll admit it, the deciding factor is "OO-GONZAGA OOGA OOGA OO-GONZAGA OOGA OOGA I CAN'T STOP THIS FEELIN'!..."
WINNER: GONZAGA

CINCINNATI (white) VS MISSOURI (black)
Cincy's uni is virtually identical to their disgusting football uni. Mizzou's is not, which is just good enough.

BTW, just so you don't think I haven't noticed, every basketball team I've seen, college and pro, has worn the same color from neck to knee. Why is that?

No blocks. Oak has a bit of spooge.

NOTRE DAME (white) VS AKRON (blue)
Both have spooge, Akron's is worse. ND has blocks.

Both spooged. KU has the same goofy numbers as in football. BU has blocks and a nice red.

Both blocks, no spooge. LI has a solid look, but it's hard to resist that pretty light blue NC trim.

Both blocks, no spooge. St Pete has a dumb white pyramid at the knee.

UNLV (white) VS ILLINOIS (orange)
No spooge. Ugly fonts on both. Edge to orange.

WASHINGTON (white) VS GEORGIA (red)
UGA has a weird font but no spooge. Washington's font is ugly and they have spooge.

GEORGETOWN (grey) VS VCU (black)
Both blocks. VCU has spooge. G'town's uni is a classic. The light is grey. Follow the path.

CALIFORNIA (blue) VS COLORADO (grey)
Cal still no blocks and spooge. Col has blocks but they're the same screwy ones from football, and they have some useless crap down their sides but it's not spooge. I'll give them credit for following the path and drafting behind G'town.

Okay, this is how it works...I'm including the NIT, because it's in HD, and I'm NOT including NCAA games on TruTV, because it's not in HD. Simple as that.

Here's the results from Tuesday and Wednesday:

DAYTON (black) VS COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON (gold)
Dayton has red and blue trim including pant stripes which look purple at times. Nice effect. CoC has a nice light shade of gold, but with dashed spooge on the pants.
WINNER: DAYTON

ALABAMA (white) VS COASTAL CAROLINA (black)
'Bama in boring white, but better than Coastal in black and teal, ugh. Plus an impossible nickname. What is it, the Chandeliers?
WINNER: ALABAMA

OKLAHOMA STATE (orange) VS HARVARD (black)
Harvard is rather generic. I would go OSU on color, but their number font ruins it.
WINNER: HARVARD

NEW MEXICO (white) VS UTEP (blue)
Both spooged. NM's numbers are too small. UTEP at least has blocks.
WINNER: UTEP

BOSTON COLLEGE (white) VS MCNEESE STATE (yellow)
McNeese in a pretty yellow with blocks. BC has the same hideous number font as their football team.

ST MARY'S (white) VS KENT STATE (blue)
Kent could use some shiny pants! St Mary's is all wrong. A putrid font, plus spooge.

WICHITA STATE (white) VS NEBRASKA (red)
Both have blocks and spooge. Wichita's spooge is a bit worse.

VIRGINIA TECH (white) VS BETHUNE-COOKMAN (black)
Hokies a bit ho-hum. BC has shiny gold trim, but overall look is kind of clunky. VT has blocks.

CALIFORNIA (yellow) VS MISSISSIPPI (red)
Ole Miss has nice color combo and looks great close up, tho the blue blocks (on red) are hard to read in wideshot. Cal has non-blocks and spooge.

Both have blocks. No mistakes on WSU. LBS loses on spooge.
